Follow Up Wholesale Costumes Review

I'm not going to hyperlink tonight so forgive any messiness.

I received the cute Lady Bug costume from http://www.costumesupercenter.com in time to send to my costume giveaway winner. Since the winner was anxiously waiting for the costume to use in her daughter's pageant, I didn't take it out of the package and immediately shipped it to her. In the past I never had a problem with this online store so had no worries.

Imagine my surprise when she sent me pictures of the costume when she took it out of the bag. The costume was unusable unless she spent quite a bit of time repairing it in several areas.

I immediately contacted their SEO and he sent back a link for her to print a return shipping label to exchange it. The problem - this winner has no printer and lives 25 miles from the nearest post office (very country.)He said with the thousands of costumes going out, one might not be to their standards and they will exchange. Okay. I get that. However, it's not the winner's fault they sent an inferior product and should not have to spend $10 in gas to return it.

I contacted Mr. Taylor again asking if they can ship her a shipping bag with the label thinking that would be no problem. I never got an answer.

I placed a call and the lady told me they don't do that and why don't I print the label and mail it to her since I am the one that made it a giveaway. I explained that would not be a problem but since the product was very defective (not just in one spot) it wasn't right to make her drive 50 miles round trip to return the item when if they would send the label and bag, the post office could pick it up. No dice. Once again she said because I did the giveaway where the sponsor was just giving me an item to do with as I pleased (keep or giveaway) it is my responsibility.

So I contacted the winner and told her I'll ship her a bag and a label. She told me no, she will try to fix it for Halloween. She thanked me for my trouble and said it is not my fault and not to take responsibility.

Is the company a bad company? No. This is one of those times that it's iffy of who should do what. For customer service, something needs to change. I have purchased from them several times with no problem but now that I've dealt with their customer service, I'm not sure if I will again. I know I won't be hosting future giveaways for this particular company.

Studyx - Interactive Learning for Our Children

I first learned about studyX at 24/7 Mom's during the live blog broadcast August 2, 2011 8pm PST. Jeff Minnis was there with us answering questions and offering his personal assistance.

studyX is an interactive easy flash card maker and study combined and grows with the age of the child by you adding study games, multiple choice questions, flash cards and more. studyX has ready made files for you and adding your own is easy as a click of the icon right on the first page. They have been featured on different programs including CNET.

The first thing I did when I downloaded studyX was start learning Italian. What I like is not only does it have the print questions, an audio voice (press play) will read the question to you. You choose your answer and it will tell you if correct or not and show you the right answer. I also like that you can choose single words or phrases.

Students can learn from many subjects: languages, vocabulary, science terms, history facts, math and more. I personally need some brush up on science terms so not only is this great for students, but for parents and grandparents too. Don't just limit to children, refresh your own knowledge whether you have children or not. I will confess my weakness was naming which president was number 27, 29, etc. How embarrassing! But I have confidence I'll know them with the aid of studyX.

Kroger Food Wasting

I won't name the person but she was so upset at her recent visit to Kroger's and her experience upset me too!

Like millions of people, she is barely making ends meet. While in Kroger’s she watch as an employee dumped food that was about to expire and asked if she could have it to feed her family and a few other families that she knew without jobs. The employee told her that if she wanted the food, she had to remove it from the trash and pay for it!!

She swallowed her pride to even ask! The employee made her feel ashamed and humiliated but she asked anyway and asked even if the food is already in the trash she would still have to pay? The employee said yes and that is policy.

Three other employees were listening and watched her walk away red faced with humiliation.

I can understand there are policies in place to protect the company. However, there are millions of people who are going hungry and literally tons of food is being destroyed daily with nothing wrong with it. And don’t use that “if get food poisoning they can sue” crap. If they bought it they can sue too, right?! What’s the difference if she got it out of the garbage or paid for it that the insurance/policy for that kicks in? Then wouldn’t the food banks not be able to receive food from stores and farms that do care America is hungry and donate?

At the very least the employee should have explained the policy and not tell her to take the food out of the garbage and pay for it. She sent a letter to the corporate office explaining her visit and concerns and as of today not one email, letter, or phone call has been made to her.

So what happened to the krogers food scrap program they started in Ohio and was going to expand across the states? They won’t let hungry families have the food and yet there they were throwing good food away in the garbage for the landfill and not at least composting.

How about a solution Kroger?

Hello I'm Here!

I want to apologize for not blogging for awhile. First my blog as well as many others were deleted or we couldn't get in our sites for a few days. My last three blogs were wiped out so I have to start all over. My life has been crazy the last week so re doing those blogs won't happen until Saturday.

I will have a giveaway posted too so stay tuned.

Lately I've been working on making myself healthier. One thing I have stopped is dieting. I am now just eating less and making sure I exercise at least 30 minutes. Some days I have to break my walks up into ten minutes three times a day but it works. Am I dropping weight quickly? No but I am dropping and enjoying my food still so that is important to me. Means it's a life style change happening.

Thank God I love chicken because I eat a lot of it. Grilled on mixed greens, grilled alone, grilled with a flat bread wrap.....I buy the 100 calorie wraps that have flax seed in it for an added bonus. That's what I had tonight with roast chicken, mixed greens and a touch of ranch dressing. It was huge and filled me up and the whole thing was about 350 calories.

I feel better when I eat better. So why is it I will wind up eating something that I know will make me feel like crap? Nachos, dip, cake....It's an addiction. I think saturated fat makes us addicted. It taste good. But then again, I think baby carrots and hummus is the bomb. Yet many times I'll choose a nacho. Go figure.

When I lost weight my body got a weird shape for awhile. I'm a pear. I lost in my rib area, breast, sides and breast plate first. My butt sticks out more and my thighs. My belly has a bump too so you can imagine how it looks. Kind of funny actually but I know eventually it will get better.

One thing I have a problem with and that is water. I drink maybe five cups a day now and have a hard time getting up to at least eight. I am proud to say I don't drink sodas anymore and have not for over three years now.

Dating After a Long Term Relationship

It doesn't matter if you were married, living together, or in a long term relationship but living apart nor does it matter if you were the one that initiated the break up - you might not be ready to date.

I see so many men and women immediately jump into a new relationship before they've even settled their emotions on their last one. Men especially date faster then women and even marry but mostly it boils down to not wanting to be alone.

Years ago I did just that - jumped into a rebound relationship. I didn't let go emotionally from the one before that and then was dealing with the emotions of a new relationship that got on my nerves. Did that stop me? No, I continued to date him, even getting engaged when I did not love him. All because I was tired of being alone. I hurt my kids doing this - something I can never erase so that is something to think about too if you have young children.

Did I learn from that mistake? No, I finally left that relationship after five years and jumped right into one with my best friend. He told me he was in love with me and would take care of me and my kids. Now 14 years later (and a wild ride) my second divorce is final.

So what is different this time? I have no desire to date and I'm happy. I took some time to find me again and I don't want to lose me. Am I ready to date? No. Am I over my ex? Yes but we still have ties - a house and animals. Even though I no longer am upset over the marriage (I actually separated way before starting the divorce), baggage needs to be taken care of. That's ok. I'm enjoying traveling, going to shows and rodeos with my girlfriends, and soaking in a hot tub for hours if I want to. I see my kids and grandbabies and can watch any program I want to and not fight for the remote.

Will I date? Eventually. I'm in no rush.

First thing you need to do is love yourself. If you feel you need a man or woman in your life to define yourself, you do not love yourself or not enough. Take a class, learn a new craft or hobby, spend time with friends just laughing and having a good time.

Then if you are happy (it's ok to feel a bit lonely) then you are ready but only if:

You keep your ex on speed dial and call or text.

You hear his/her name and feel your tummy go upside down.

You are angry and bitter and can't even say a nice hello if run into them somewhere.

You bring him/her up often in conversations.

You are enjoying classes or more again and give them up for him/her.

You think you have to lose weight, wear make up and clothes you normally don't, and act different then what you normally do - in others words you fake a new personality to land someone.

You almost immediately talk sexual and maybe even sleep with him/her hoping for that connection.

Wait six months after your final break up. For marriages, that means the final date - not when you separated.

ECO Friendly Burials

First of all I want to point out some of my links and information below came from the article by *Tabitha Alterman in Mother Earth News December/January 2011. Some information such as Eternal Reefs' is my own.

I know this is a subject that many avoid because it makes them uncomfortable but let's face it - we are going to die. Maybe not tomorrow or even in five years but someday. Morbid thought? No, it's reality. I have been on the end of someone not planning their funeral and it was a nightmare when he died. One side of the family wanted creamation, one wanted burial with all the bells and whistles and yet no one wanted to pay for it. One side wanted a three day viewing and the other said he never wanted that. It wound up costing over $15,000and loss of family and friendship. Don't let this happen to your family.

Why not plan a simple ECO friendly burial. It's less money and environmentally friendly. Did you know caskets can cost $4000 and more even for the most simple one? You have no idea where most of them are made and of what materials. You also are embalmed and add to the formaldehyde seeping into the ground even if you are in the coffin. Putting it in a concrete slab that is required in most states does not stop this - just slows it down.

What to do? Make your own. No law can make you buy one of those fancy copper lined body holders. Sorry if that sounds morbid but pretty much that is all they are good for - show. Hiring someone to build a coffin for you or doing it yourself is far less expensive and you can customize it yourself. Jeff at "Myers Funeral Home" in Porterville said you can build your own but be sure to measure it so it fits in the standard size grave.

Consider a green burial. This is an eco-friendly way to bury and remains rest in a beautiful wilderness area. * Only natural bio-degradable caskets are allowed as well as shrouds and ashes. I received my new New SuperStay 24 2-Step Lipcolors and I have to say I finally like a long wearing lipcolor. The others I would try stained my lips, bled out and of course stained around my lips (can we say clown?), and worse yet, my lips felt extremely dry even if I put chap stick or gloss over the color.

I was a bit apprehensive about trying my new colors - yes colors! As a bzzagent I received four new colors to try - not one!

They come in this awesome tube with the lip color base coat on one side and a top coat balm on the other. At first I didn't think I would get many uses but after my first wearing I realized it will last longer then the average lipstick.

I decided my first color would be, "Wear On Wildberry". That's me sporting this pretty color that is beautiful as well as goes with "cool". :)

I had a bit of problem getting the end open but having arthritis that can happen. I grabbed my gripper and it opened right up. Reading the instructions, I used the flexible lip brush attached and applied a thin layer of the SuperStay 24 2-Step Lipcolor on my lips and let it dry for about two minutes. As it dried it felt a bit sticky and then a bit dry but then I applied the lip balm and my lips transformed into a soft, glossy, long-wearing color!

Does it last? I talk a lot at work and through all the yabbering, it stayed on wearing well. About every two hours I added a bit more balm because, well, I did say I talked a lot but I really didn't have to add more. It's a habit I have and I'm sure I'll break it soon. A big test was when I ate lunch. I was amazed the color wore so well through that. I didn't have to even touch my color up!

I did notice as the day wore on, there wasn't any flaking but if I ran a tissue across my lips a bit of lip color came off but that was okay. After many hours my lips still held the color even with the little bit of rub off. A touch of balm and they looked great. I especially loved that my lips did not feel dry. It will last through kissing (I kissed three cheeks yesterday and no lip kiss marks!).

How do you remove the lip color? Before bed I ran a soft tissue of olive oil across my lips and viola! Color off. Olive oil is a great make up remover!

In the past I've dressed up for Halloween as an Indian Squaw, cow complete
with udders, (yes, I receive THOSE comments), a flower, (once again
comments about being pollinated), punk rocker, lumber jack and a nurse to
name a few but one thing I never dressed up for was a costume party
outside of Halloween.

Now I can be "me" for those fun theme parties. I chose to be "Vamptessa".

These two cute bottom feeding cat fish need names. I rescued them from the bottom of a mucky fish tank someone else was going to toss. I bought a twenty gallon tank, fresh rock, plants - the whole shabang and now they need names.

I know, I know. They are fish. But these fish let me touch them. They seem to know they can trust me. They are happy in a clear, warm, fresh water tank and, well, let's face it, I'm a sap. So I have to name them. Right now I use all those cutesy names like, baby, cutie, honey... but I need real names and the funnier, unique, or just fun the better. Although randomizer will pick a winner for the prize - a 1lb box of See's Candy - I'll choose the names out of all the comments.

I'll give you examples of what names I have for my cats and the ones I found homes for (rescues). Itty Bitty, Shelby Ann, Tell-Me-Tubby, Purr'anah, Bearrr, Rrroary, Rrrowdy, Blizzard, and Peanut Butter.

I was given two gift certificates for this candy and want to share with someone. For those that never ate See's candy, you are in for a treat. The certificates are in my name so I have to purchase and mail the candy for you. I am loving my DYMO LabelManager I received free to try out and review from being a Bzzagent. It's not just a label maker, it's a label manager! Loading labels is so easy and I love the keyboard typing when other label makers have that dial and click down to press onto plastic action. Since I received my DYMO LabelManager, I tossed my old one into the recycle bin.

Bonus plus is it runs on a lithium-ion battery - charge it and go!

I love the save text feature and printing using the nine memory text save with three different fonts and six different text styles. You can print labels 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" widths and see the product before printing on the new 1/18" x 2.36" screen.

Great Ideas

It's never too early to think of the warmer season and camping or going on long day trips to enjoy the outdoors.
As night approaches, take your homemade lantern out and light it. You'll keep mosquitos at bay and have perfect cheap lighting. Take a beer or soda can and split it starting about one inch from the top down the middle using heavy shears or knife. Cut two slits at the top and bottom so the can can open and have "wings". Use mosquito repellant candles and set one inside and light. The reflecton off the wings will give you a perfect lantern glow.

Want to start an easy fire? Usually in the mountains, kindling is easy to find - tiny sticks or dry mini pinecones - but in lower areas it can be hard. Carry some dry wood shavings with you in a small paper bag and tear it open and spread the wood aroung the bag and light. As the wood lights and gets hotter, slowly add small dry pieces adding as the fire builds.

I did a review earlier for CNS Stores and I want to follow up to let you know I'm sold on their easy shopping, shipping, and high quality merchandise.

CNS stores gave me a $25 gift certificate to purchase something to try and I found the Ocean Adventure Activity Table I had to get for my granddaughter, Lillian. I did not have to spend more then the $25- there were many fun and great item for under $25 but I've been wanting to get her one of these tables after watching her play at a local business.

When you hear the words revolutionary what do you think? It's a cure? Do you watch "The Biggest Loser" and "Heavy" and think how lucky they are to have a trainer? The problem with all these shows and weight loss surgeries are no one is taught total life changes. They get off the show and gain it back. Their body gets used to food again and they gain back after surgery. Then there is the health consequences associated with fast weight loss. Seems to be damn if you do or don't.

Then there are weight loss centers: Jenny Craig, Nutra System, and Medifast. All are good and yet still not learning to fix your own meals and lose. Weight Watchers is great but very expensive (as with the weight loss centers). The average person can not afford the food. If you must go to a diet club, go to a free one like "Overeaters Anonymous". Or create your own group for support.

So what is the miracle diet? I have the answer! Less fattening food! That's it! You don't have to give up your favorites - just eat less of it! Eat more fruits and vegetables, go for a walk, stretch, yoga, dance, or something fun like the Wii "Just Dance" and you'll lose weight. Change your sodas for green tea, sparkling water with some kool-aid, or if you really want the soda, drink a very cold ice Diet Dr. Pepper.

Before you work out have some carbs and wait about 20 minutes. Have a 1/2 cup of oatmeal with a 1/2 cup of berries or half a banana. Or make a 4 oz fruit smoothie.

I tried diets, fads, pills, shots, and guess what? I gained back plus some. When I stopped and just cut down and started dancing I started losing.

Chia seeds are great fillers and so nutritious. Just get off your duff and get moving. Experiment with recipes. If you have to eat fast food, choose the grilled chicken.

Comes a Horseman By Robert Liparulo

Comes a Horseman was written by Robert Liparulo in November of 2005. This was his first novel and film rights were sold to Mace Neufeld a top film producer. I haven't checked out to see if the movie was ever made but if it was and close to the book, you can be sure I will be watching. He wrote several smaller articles and stories before his novels including "Kill Zone" appearing in the James Paterson-edited anthology "Thriller". He then went on to write his second novel, "Germ" that I believe was released in October of 2006 (I'll verify that when I purchase it). He then went on to write Deadfall, Deadlock, and my favorite recent novels: The Dreamking series - written for younger adults but mature audiences as myself loved them; House of Dark Shadows, Watcher in the Woods, Gatekeepers, Timescape, Whirlwind, and Frenzy and they must be read in that order.

The beginning of "Comes a Horseman" was surprisingly intensely graphic. I'd plan to read only one more chapter before turning out the lights and yet two hours later I'd be turning those pages. It's a Christian Fiction novel but without the preaching and sans the sex. He holds up right next to Dean Koontz!

[FBI Agents Brady Moore, criminal psychologist, and Alicia Wagner are used to grisly scenes of death. They are the ones assigned to the Pelletier Killings. The murderer uses wolf-dogs to restrain his targets as he uses an axe for the killing blow. Though the MO is the same for the victims, no one could find a link to connect them.

Then Alicia located Father Duncan McAfee, a Catholic priest in Manhattan. Father McAfee has published books pertaining to near death experiences. The people who died, went to Hades, and was then granted a second chance at life would tell Father Duncan their stories. As Father Duncan told Alicia their stories, things began to come together.

Meanwhile, in Israel, Luco Scaramuzzi is with a group called the Watchers. Luco and Father Adalberto Randall are trying to convince the Watchers that the prophecies are coming true and that Luco is the Antichrist. Enter a world where right and wrong of religion is a thin line that can kill.

***** Whether you are religious or not, this novel will give you the CHILLS! There is no way I can give a clear synopsis without giving away vital information that would nullify several surprises. This is a thick novel, but the content is so intense the time just seemed to fly by for me. I must have finished reading it in record time! It grabbed me on the first page with an assassination and kept going until the climatic ending. To put it in simple words, "You have GOT to read this book!"]

I would call this book a serial killer, murder mystery, spritual warfare, horror, drama, and action type of novel. All 619 paperback pages or 494 hardback pages are gripping and a must read.

DYMO Label Maker

Awesome. This word sums up the DYMO Label Maker I received for review as a bzzagent. Soon as I opened the package I was "oh", "wow", and "how cool!" and promptly put the lithium-ion battery in, loaded the labels (how easy!), and got busy. I never knew I could label so many things in the house in such a short time. Of course I was told the refrigerator did not need to be marked.

Once I got past the silly excitement, I decided to take my new DYMO label maker to work with me. The first thing I did was label a cabinet my whole group uses. One thing I liked was being able to hold this while printing and applying the label. It's compact and ergonomic which is very important to my hands and fingers with the severe arthritis I have. I love it!

The DYMO has a built-in thermal technology on labels. That means no expensive ink and toner! You can print plastic or paper and use different colors. They are fast so you can label in seconds - the whole office in a short time! There is a label for every job - standard, shipping, media and so many others.

Other nifty features are you can check for mistakes before printing on the easy to read display screen and you can use any of the three fonts and six text styles. You can also save in the memory.

Office Depot has this label maker online right now for $59.99. I have ten $25 off coupons if any one would like one but hurry, they will go fast! Thanksgiving Ideas

What size turkey to get? For each adult average 1 lb. 2 lbs for those hearty eaters. 1/2 lb for a child.

Brine the turkey the night before with a sugar and salt solution. It flavors it and does not need seasoning. The turkey will be very moist especially if you cook in a turkey bag.

Don't cook your stuffing in the turkey. The bread will pull out the moisture and your turkey will be dry. Stuff needs to be 145 degrees and by the time it reaches that, the turkey is over cooked and dried out.

Try something new this year to break from the normal same ol' thing. Bake a sweet potato pie in lieu of a pumpkin pie. Add chunks of apple and pecans to your regular stuffing. Not real fond of turkey? Roast a chicken or make tacos!

Simple Changes

It seems everyone's schedules are so full they have no time to bake. I found some great ideas in Woman's World magazine

To make a pumpkin pie look and taste homemade:

1 27 oz frozen pumpkin pie
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

bake pie according to directions. Cool. Heat oven to 350 F. In bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in butter until combined and moist crumbs form. Press tablespoons of mixture together to form large crumbs; sprinkle over pie. Bake 20-25 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned. Cool. In small bowl, combine confectioners sugar and 2 tsp water until smooth. Transfer to plastic sandwich bag; snip small hole in one corner. Drizzle glaze over crumbs.

A trick I've done for a quick pie is to soften rocky road ice cream and spread in a graham cracker pie crust. Top with shaved chocolate and drizzle with ice cream chocolate syrup. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze. When ready for dessert, take out of the freezer for about 15 minutes to soften just enough to cut and serve.

Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House

Friday, October 29th, I had the opportunity to visit Bakersfield California's own Ronald McDonald House. I first became acquainted with the Ronald McDonald facilities when my grandbaby, Kayla was born in 1999. Let me stress though that RMH are not really a facility but a home environment. Facility just seems too cold of a word for such a warm welcoming place.

RMH homes are all over the U.S. and even in other places international such as in Hungary. They provide a place for families with critically ill children and they travel 25 plus miles to be with them. When Kayla was born with a diagphramtic hernia and Palister Killian Syndrome, she was airlifted to Kaiser Sunset in very critical condtion. For her short two and a half months of life, we were frantically trying to find places to stay or even just grab a quick nap and cup of coffee and it not be a cold cafeteria.

Unfortunately at that time, the Los Angeles RMH was always full. They are located two blocks from the children's hospital and many of the ill children there were transplant, cancer, or preemie babies. However, we were allowed to do our laundry, eat, watch tv, read or just talk to someone. They just didn't have a bed for us. They have expanded now and can house 75 families a night. I was still impressed and grateful for this house to be available and when Bakersfield got their own in 2009 I was excited.

To be honest I didn't know it was completed until our annual CFC campaign at work. A co-worker does the CFC and brought in many flyers and one was the new Bakersfield RMH.

Every year we do a food drive and when I saw they were open I knew right away they will be our drive this year. I quickly got a hold of Scarlett and her assistant Sabrina, and I was invited to come tour. Sabrina created me an awesome flyer to promote the drive.

Soon as I walked inside I felt "home". Cozy, comfortable and love! I was greeted with a huge hug by RMH's manager, Scarlett Sabin.

The RMH looks like a little home. It is one of the smaller homes but for Bakersfield's size it works. As Scarlett said, they may be small but they are mighty. The kitchen is fully stocked and families help themselves to anything they want to cook. A group had just left after baking a cake (it smelled so good!) for families to enjoy. She showed me the tastefully decorated and clean, quiet rooms, storage, powder room, bathroom, and laundry area. In the kitchen was the neatest halloween flower arrangement with hanging spiders and she said Log Cabin Florist comes to decorate for the seasons and even sends fresh flowers! They even had an arrangement in the powder room.

Out back was the nicest fancy BBQ freshly built and she said it was an eagle scout project! A very nice picnic table sat next to it - also donated. Tall shade trees, beautiful flowers, and a comfortable park setting allows the parents and families a place to take a break and relax. In front is the cutest cart that is for raising vegetables. Right now winter vegetables are being grown. All by volunteers.

I noticed a bunch of halloween type goodie bags and Scarlett told me they hand out goodies to the children in the pedi ward! for those families that can't hand out candy to those cute little munchkins, they are bringing in pizza to have a little party.

And the pumpkins. Just a few hours before several were dropped off to decorate outside. One was so huge - at least ten pumpkins in one!

Scarlett said if their beds are full, they use the Heart House facility across from them also located on the Memorial Hospitals grounds, and if they fill up there they have several locations across town that will provide free rooms for families (one being the Mariott - providing five nights a month). Scarlett said she is not afraid to make a lot of calls and beg if it helps a family.

I would find it hard to refuse her. She is wonderful.

The Ronald McDonald house has a resource center, computers for use (they are wireless if you want to use your own), has a huge array of volunteers that do fund-raising, cleaning, making knitted hats, blankets, and just filling in the needs.

If you want to do a fund raiser, donation, or other service, consider your local Ronald McDonald House. Ask for their wish list and even if you don't see someone on the list you wonder if they would like to have, ask! I did and Scarlett said yes they can use them. I offered brand new cloth diapers. She said she has a lady that will make them into burp bibs.

They also collect can tabs for recycling!

Go take a tour. Get involved. I plan to.

Life Goes On

I do apologize for not blogging in about, hmmm, wow, a month? A bit longer? That is just not me - normally - but life had me by the, er, toes and the only blogging window I had was between 2am and 4am. Believe me, people want me to sleep during those times.

Sure I had a few minutes here and there but a blog does not happen in five minutes. Ok. Maybe one does but I talk a lot so I don't want to blog a few lines. I want to chatter.

What's going on in my life that I'm having a bit of a hard time? Besides the normal health stuff, which I won't bore you with, I am going through a divorce. Between paper work, negotiations, commuting to work, and other life's needs, there was no time to blog or if there was, no brain cell left. I was and still am exhausted. However, things are slowly settling down a bit so I plan to blog at least three times a week and doing reviews, contests, and providing links for savings or needs.

I just found most of what I blogged about this week gone! What in the world? And my savings, samples, coupons.....everything! Gone! At least my giveaway is still up but I am concerned.

I'm getting ready for my 3877 mile trip that I'll be driving all by myself - well, except for two kitty companions. Hopefully this drive will be much better then the last time I drove south. I hit an ice storm that was horrible and I spun out.

My first stop is at my oldest daughter's house in Mississippi where I can see my oldest grandchildren, CJ and Chloe. Then after a few days I'll head to my youngest daughter's house in Oklahoma to see my youngest grandbaby Lillian. My son lives just two hours from me so I can see my other three granddaughter's there on my way back. I'll be in grandbaby heaven!
